SharePoint & Microsoft 365

SharePoint Consulting: Migration, Modernization & Governance

SharePoint isn't separate from Power Platform — it's the foundation underneath it. Most Power Apps store data in SharePoint lists. Most Power Automate flows move SharePoint documents through approvals. Most Microsoft 365 Copilot rollouts succeed or fail on the quality and security of SharePoint content. If your SharePoint environment is cluttered, over-permissioned, or stuck on legacy workflows, every automation and AI initiative you build on top of it inherits those problems. IMP0WER fixes the foundation and builds what comes next on it — one engagement, one team.

That's the whole argument for this page, stated up front. Everything below is the detail.

Microsoft set your deadlines already

Most modernization projects stall because nobody can name the date something breaks. SharePoint is different. Microsoft has already published the retirements, and the clock is running whether or not anyone in your organization is watching it.

Technology Status The risk you're carrying
InfoPath Retired, no successor Every form is unsupported technical debt with a known expiration
SharePoint Designer workflows 2010 workflows retired 2013 workflows on borrowed time One update away from silent failure
SharePoint Server Support windows closing Paying more each year, for less
Copilot on messy permissions Available today Copilot finds every file your permissions let it find. Are you sure about your permissions?

None of these are predictions. They're statements Microsoft has already made. The organizations that treat them as planning inputs get to modernize on their own schedule, in sensible waves, with time to train people. The organizations that wait get to modernize during an outage.

If any row in that table describes your environment, the next step is not a proposal — it's a diagnosis. Our SharePoint Modernization Blueprint is a fixed-price assessment that produces a full census of your sites, permissions, forms, and workflows, plus a wave-by-wave exit plan with effort ranges.

What we do here

SharePoint migration

SharePoint Server to SharePoint Online. File shares, Google Workspace, Dropbox, and Box into Microsoft 365. Tenant consolidations after mergers. Planned in waves, executed with ShareGate and AvePoint tooling, validated before cutover, supported through hypercare. Moving the files is the easy part; the plan is the product.

SharePoint migration

SharePoint modernization

Information architecture that reflects how your organization actually works. Metadata-driven libraries instead of ten-deep folder trees. Permissions rebuilt from item-level chaos into group-based, auditable access. Intranets people use because they can find things. Legacy sites consolidated or archived deliberately instead of abandoned quietly.

SharePoint modernization

Workflow modernization

SharePoint Designer and Nintex workflows rebuilt in Power Automate — on your schedule, not when they break. We inventory what exists, separate what still matters from what nobody will miss, and rebuild the keepers properly.

Workflow modernization

InfoPath migration

Forms rebuilt in Power Apps before the platform quits on you. InfoPath was retired without a successor, which means every InfoPath form in your environment is a rebuild waiting to be scheduled. We'd rather schedule it than watch it become an emergency.

InfoPath migration

Why one firm for content and apps

Most consultancies pick a side. App-layer firms build Power Apps and flows on top of whatever SharePoint mess they find, and the mess becomes your app's reliability problem. Content-layer firms migrate and reorganize documents, then hand you a clean library with the same broken InfoPath form sitting in it. Either way, the seam between the layers is handed to you as your problem.

We own both sides of the seam. When we plan a migration, we already know which lists feed Power Apps and which libraries feed flows, so nothing breaks downstream when content moves. When we rebuild a workflow, we fix the underlying library structure and permissions at the same time, so the new flow stands on solid ground. When we prepare a tenant for Copilot, the permission cleanup and the content cleanup are one workstream, not two vendors pointing at each other.

This dual-depth approach is why our engagements are led through one methodology — the IMP0WER GRID: Gauge the estate, Route the safe path, Install to standard, Distribute and operate. You can read the whole thing on our methodology page; we publish it because a method you can inspect is worth more than a claim you can't.

The Copilot connection

“Copilot finds every file your permissions let it find. Are you sure about your permissions?”

Microsoft 365 Copilot has turned SharePoint hygiene from a housekeeping issue into a security issue. Copilot answers from the content a user can access — all of it, including the site someone over-shared during a long-forgotten project and the HR folder with inherited permissions nobody audited. Rolling out Copilot on top of a cluttered, over-permissioned SharePoint estate doesn't just produce weak answers; it surfaces files people were never supposed to see.

The fix is the same modernization work described on this page: permission cleanup, oversharing remediation, sensitivity labels, content curation, and the retirement of stale sites. Done in that order, SharePoint modernization is Copilot readiness. Done in reverse — Copilot first, cleanup later — it's an incident report.

Who does the work

Our founder has delivered SharePoint since 2010 — statewide government deployments, aerospace, defense, and Fortune-100 retail — and has led Microsoft 365 migrations with ShareGate and AvePoint tooling; the full record is on About Us. A founder leads every IMP0WER engagement personally, extended by the IMP0WER delivery team. IMP0WER was founded in 2020 to bring that enterprise discipline to organizations that don't want to buy it through layers of account management.

We don't publish borrowed logos or invented statistics. Our proof is the published methodology, the published Ø Standard, and the way an engagement is scoped: diagnosis first, fixed price, findings you keep whether or not you hire us for the follow-on work.

How an engagement starts

Every SharePoint engagement starts with the SharePoint Modernization Blueprint — a fixed-price assessment: $7,500 focused, $15,000–$25,000 deep for larger or more regulated estates. It produces a site, permission, and workflow census; an InfoPath, Designer, and Nintex exit map; and migration waves with effort ranges. If you engage us for the implementation, 100% of the focused-tier fee is credited toward any implementation engagement of $25,000 or more signed within 90 days of your readout.

If you're not sure an assessment is the right first step, ask us. We respond within one business day, and we'll tell you what you actually need — even when that's less than you were planning to buy.

Frequently asked questions

Do we have to leave SharePoint Server, or can we stay on-premises?

You can stay, but you should decide to stay on purpose. Support windows for SharePoint Server keep closing, and staying on-premises increasingly means paying more for less — more licensing, more infrastructure, fewer features, and no Copilot. Some organizations have genuine data-residency or regulatory reasons to remain; most just haven't scheduled the move. The Blueprint tells you which one you are.

Our SharePoint "works fine." Why modernize now?

Because the things most likely to break — InfoPath forms and Designer workflows — fail without warning and without support. "Works fine" describes today. The retirements Microsoft has already announced describe tomorrow. Modernizing on your schedule is a project; modernizing after a failure is an incident.

Can you fix our environment without a full migration?

Often, yes. Permissions cleanup, information architecture rework, workflow rebuilds, and Copilot readiness are all deliverable inside an existing SharePoint Online tenant. The assessment distinguishes what needs to move from what needs to be fixed in place.

How disruptive is this to day-to-day work?

Less than living with the current state, if it's planned in waves. We sequence by business area, communicate cutover windows in advance, run validation before and after each wave, and keep a hypercare period afterward. The migration page covers this in detail.

Do you only do the SharePoint side, or the Power Platform side too?

Both, deliberately. That's the point of the firm. SharePoint work connects directly to our Power Platform governance and application practices, so the content layer and the app layer are modernized as one system.
