Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers, the same ones you'd get on a call. If yours isn't here, tell us your problem; we respond within one business day.
How does an engagement with IMP0WER start?
With a conversation, not a contract. You describe what's going on through the contact form; a founder reads it and calls you back within one business day with a point of view. The first 30 minutes are free. From there, most clients start with a fixed-price assessment rather than jumping straight to an implementation proposal. Diagnosis first, prescription second.
Why isn't there a booking calendar on your site?
Because a calendar slot treats every inquiry identically, and they aren't. When you write to us first, we read what you actually said before anyone talks, so the call starts with your problem instead of a discovery script. The trade we offer: no self-service scheduling, but a guaranteed response within one business day, from someone who has already thought about your situation.
What's free and what's paid?
We'll gladly spend 30 minutes telling you whether and how we can help. The moment work produces artifacts — inventories, findings, architecture, roadmaps — it's a paid engagement. That boundary is deliberate: free work that's secretly a sales funnel produces advice you can't trust. The scorecards are free with no email gate; the assessments are priced, and the prices are published.
What exactly is an assessment, and why would I pay for one?
A fixed-scope, fixed-price diagnosis of one slice of your Microsoft estate — Power Platform health, SharePoint modernization, or Copilot and agent readiness. You get concrete artifacts: inventories with named owners, risk matrices, and a prioritized roadmap you could hand to any vendor, including not-us. You pay for it because a diagnosis from someone with nothing to sell is worth more than a free "assessment" engineered to conclude you need what the assessor sells. And 100% of the focused-tier fee is credited toward any implementation engagement of $25,000 or more signed within 90 days of your readout.
Who actually does the work?
A founder leads every engagement — scopes it, architects it, and stays accountable for it end to end. The IMP0WER delivery team extends us, and you'll see exactly who does what in your proposal, not discover it in your invoice. We never sell you a senior and staff you a junior.
What experience is behind the firm?
Our founder has delivered Microsoft platforms since 2008 — Fortune-100 retail, aerospace, defense, and statewide government — much of it through leading consulting firms. IMP0WER itself was founded in 2020 to deliver that enterprise discipline at boutique scale. The full record is on About Us, clearly labeled as founder experience — we don't dress it up as a client logo wall.
How does pricing work?
Two tiers of transparency. Assessment prices are fixed and published on the pricing page. Implementation and retainer pricing is quoted per engagement — scope varies too much for a fair rate card — with line-item proposals showing who does what at what rate. What you'll never see: hidden blended rates, quietly growing scope, or a quote shaped by a license quota.
Are you tied to Microsoft? Does that bias your advice?
We're a Member, Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program, and we build on Microsoft platforms because that's where our depth is. Membership means a verified partner account and a listing in Microsoft's partner directory; it is not a Solutions Partner designation, and we don't present it as one. But our recommendations are never driven by license quotas — nobody's sales target shapes what we tell you to buy. If the right answer is fewer licenses, a simpler tool, or no project at all, that's the answer you get.
Can Power Platform really handle serious business applications?
Yes — the platform ships with 1,400+ certified connectors into business systems, and it runs mission-critical processes in very large organizations today. What makes or breaks it isn't capability; it's governance: ownership, environments, lifecycle, and a standard for "production-ready." That's why our methodology treats governance as the enabler, not the paperwork.
What is the IMP0WER GRID? The Ø Standard?
The GRID is our delivery lifecycle — Gauge, Route, Install, Distribute: measure the estate, architect the safe path, build to code, then scale and operate. The Ø Standard is our published bar for production-ready: no orphans, no personal credentials, no mystery access, no prod-only deployments, no undocumented handoffs, no silent failures, no dead ends. Both are published in full on the methodology page — use them freely, with or without us.
Do you only work with large enterprises?
No. The discipline comes from enterprise delivery; the firm is built for organizations that can't or shouldn't pay enterprise-firm overhead. IT and operations leaders at mid-sized organizations are our center of gravity, department owners inside larger enterprises buy from us the same way, and smaller organizations often start with a productized assessment.
Where are you located, and do you work remotely?
Needham, Massachusetts — serving Boston, New England, and clients nationwide. Most delivery is remote; we come to you when it matters. Wherever you are, the promise holds: write to us and we respond within one business day.
