How We Work

How We Work

No mystery, no maze. This page is the mechanics of an IMP0WER engagement — how it starts, who does the work, how it's structured, and what you'll see in a proposal.

It starts with a conversation, not a calendar

The moment work produces artifacts — inventories, findings, architecture, roadmaps — it's a paid engagement. That's what keeps our advice honest.

There's no booking widget on this site, and that's deliberate. You tell us what's going on through the contact form — broken app, looming migration, AI mandate, sprawl nobody owns — and we respond within one business day. A founder reads what you wrote before we call, so the conversation starts with a point of view, not a discovery script.

The first 30 minutes are free and useful on their own: whether and how we can help, and what we'd look at first. The boundary is simple and we hold it: the moment work produces artifacts — inventories, findings, architecture, roadmaps — it's a paid engagement. That's what keeps our advice honest. Free advice that's secretly a sales funnel isn't advice.

Then, usually, a diagnosis

Most engagements begin with a fixed-price assessment — the Gauge stage of the IMP0WER GRID. Fixed scope, fixed price, published on the site, real artifacts at the end. You'll know what you have, what's at risk, and what to do in what order — whether or not you ever hire us to do it. 100% of the focused-tier fee is credited toward any implementation engagement of $25,000 or more signed within 90 days of your readout, so starting with the diagnosis costs you nothing extra if you build with us.

We sequence everything after that through the GRID: Gauge (measure the estate), Route (architect the safe path), Install (build to code against the Ø Standard), Distribute (scale and operate). Every proposal names its stage, so you always know where you are in the lifecycle and what comes next.

Who actually does the work

The consulting industry's oldest trick is selling you a partner and staffing you a bench. Here's our structure, stated plainly:

A founder leads every engagement.

Scopes it, architects it, stays in the delivery, and is accountable for it end to end.

The IMP0WER delivery team extends us.

Specialists we've worked with and stand behind. The proposal shows who does what, at what rate, before you sign anything.

Recommendations are never driven by license quotas.

We're a Member, Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program — but nobody's sales target shapes what we tell you to buy. If the right answer is fewer licenses or no project, that's the answer.

What we're against isn't any particular staffing geography — it's spec-driven, no-context outsourcing, where the person building your solution has never heard your problem. Everyone delivering for IMP0WER works from the same context, the same standard, and the same founder-level accountability.

Three ways to engage

Whatever the work — anything on the services page — it arrives in one of three shapes:

Project

Fixed scope, milestone-billed. Assessments, QuickStarts, migrations, rescues, builds. Best when the outcome is nameable.

Project

Dedicated consultant

Senior expertise embedded with your team, without the full-time hire. Best when the work is continuous and evolving.

Dedicated consultant

Support & enhancement retainer

Your apps, flows, and agents — owned, monitored, and improved month over month. This is the Distribute stage as a service.

Support & enhancement retainer

Assessment prices are published; implementation and retainer pricing is scoped per engagement; the reasons are on the pricing page.

What "done" means here

Everything we ship is checked against the Ø Standard — named owner, no personal credentials, auditable access, a real deployment path, documentation a stranger could operate from, monitoring, and a support path after go-live. You see the scorecard before go-live. And enablement is built into every engagement — the goal is a team that can run what we leave behind.

What you'll never get from us

No invented numbers or borrowed logos. No guarantees we can't evidence. No scope that quietly grows. No junior billed as a senior. No recommendation we wouldn't make if we earned nothing from it. Anything else you're wondering is probably answered on the FAQ.
